I regularly collaborate with other specialists and inter-disciplinary teams. Integration of the disciplines of architecture, landscape design, archaeology, planning and ecology is essential for the best outcomes on projects – ideally starting as early on as possible.
Over 25 years I have written numerous Conservation Management Plans, Parkland Plans (for Natural England Stewardship) and both broad-brush and in-depth assessments of designed landscapes. Outcomes include: grant awards, planning applications, conservation and restoration and rejuvenation.
I also offer my services as an author researching and writing stand-alone histories for their own sake (rather than planning or projects) and give advice on scripts for TV documentaries on historic gardens.
